2 cups cake flour
1-1/2 cups sugar
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup crisco
1/2 cup buttermilk
2 eggs, unbeaten
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup mashed bananas
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Measure flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt and sugar into sifter. Place crisco in mixing bowl; stir to soften. Stir in dry ingredients. Add 1/4 cup milk and the bananas. Mix until flour is dampened. Beat 2 minutes at low speed. Add eggs, vanilla, and remaining milk. Beat one minute. Pour into 2 round 8-inch cake pans. Bake at 350º. Serve with whipped cream and sliced bananas.
