2 ½ Cups Flour
1 ½ Sticks (¾ cups) Cold unsalted butter, cut into ½ inch cubes
¼ cup Cold Vegetable Shortening
½ tsp salt
4 - 6 tbsp ice cold water ( about ⅓ cup)

Directions:
Directions:
Blend together flour, butter, shortening and salt in a bowl or pastry blender (on pulse in a food processor) until mixture resembles coarse meal with some small pea-size butter lumps.
Drizzle the ice water evenly over and gently stir with a fork (or pulse in the food processor) until incorporated.
Gently squeeze a small handful. if it doesn't hold together, add more water, 1 tbsp at a time.
Gently knead the dough together and then form 2 balls. Flatten each into a disk. Wrap disks separately in plastic wrap and chill until firm, at least 1 hour.
