1 cup evaporated milk
6 ounces semi-sweet chocolate morsels
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 cups miniature marshmallows
1 package vanilla wafers
1 quart vanilla ice cream, softened
Pecan halves

Put milk, chocolate morsels and salt into heavy saucepan. Stir over low heat until chocolate melts and mixture thickens. Remove from heat. Add marshmallows. Stir until marshmallows are melted and mixture is smooth. Cool. While mixture cools, line bottom and sides of a 10-inch pie pan or square cake pan with wafers. When above mixture is cool, spoon half the ice cream over wafers. Cover with half of the chocolate mixture, add another layer of wafers, ice cream and chocolate. Place nut halves on top to decorate. Cover with foil and freeze until firm.
