1 cup Raisins
¾ cup Shortening
2 Eggs
2 ½ cups Flour
1 teaspoon Baking Soda
1 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Cinnamon
1 cup Water
1 ½ cups Sugar
1 teaspoon Vanilla
½ teaspoon Baking Powder
2 cups Rolled Oats

Directions:
Directions:
1. Simmer raisins in water in sauce pan, over low heat until they’re plump or 20-30 mins.
2. Drain raisin liquid into measuring cup, add enough water to make ½ cup.
3. Mix shortening, sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Stir in raisin liquid.
4. Stir dry ingredients together in separate bowl.
5. Blend into shortening mixture.
6. Add rolled oats and raisins.
7. Bake 8-10 mins at 400 degrees.
