1 cup mayonnaise or salad dressing
1/4 cup milk
2-3 Tbsp sugar
6 bananas
2 cups salted blanched peanuts, finely ground
Maraschino cheeries (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Combine salad dressing, milk and sugar. Mix well. Slice 2 bananas and place in a 2 quart serving dish.
Spread 1/3 of salad dressing mix over bananas. Sprinkle with 1/3 ground peanuts. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used. Garnish with cherries, if desired. This dish may be assembled 1 hour before serving and refrigerated. Serves 6 to 8

Again, this was a family favorite for many years. Matt would request these.

They are so much easier than banana croquettes, but taste the same and serves more people.

It was especially popular in the 80s to serve these at potlucks. The Holiday Inn North used a version of this recipe, with whipped cream instead of salad dressing. Stonehearth also did that for a while on salad bar. I enjoyed those a lot.
