1 c butter
1 c white sugar
1 c brown sigar
3/4 c peanut butter
1//2 t soda
1 T hot water
1 t vanilla
1 1
/2 c flour
1/2 t salt
2 eggs

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening; add sugar and cream until light. Add eggs one at a time. Add peanut butter, and soda which has been dissolved in the hot water. Add vanilla. Sift flour once measured-sift and add salt together form into balls. Place on a greased sheet. Bake 10-15 minutes. Makes 4-6 dozen.

Grandma Fozzard would put leftover jelly in her cookies! We though they were the best cookies in the world!
