1 cup oat bran
1 cup wheat bran
1 cup ground flaxseed
1 cup Bob's Red Mill Organic 6 Grain hot cereal
cup whole wheat or white flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tbsp baking powder
tsp salt
cup brown sugar
1 cup buttermilk*
cup canola oil]
2 eggs
1 cup raisins (soaked in water or juice to soften)

*In lieu of buttermilk, squeeze juice of one lemon into measuring cup, add milk to make 8 oz, let sit a bit.

Add Bob's 6 Grain cereal to the buttermilk, let it sit for about 15 minutes.
In a large bowl combine dry ingredients.
In a mixing bowl combine oil, eggs, and brown sugar.
Add dry ingredients, buttermilk mixture, and raisins to the mixing bowl; mix until blended.
Scoop batter into greased muffin pan.
Bake at oven preheated to 375 for 15-18 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Cool in the pan for five minutes before removing to a cooling rack. Freezes well.
