3 cups water
2 small onions, chopped
3 stalks celery, chopped
2 carrots, sliced
1 lb can diced tomatoes
1 10 ounce pkg frozen mixed vegetables (no potato)
1 lb ground beef, browned and drained
3-4 tablespoons Beef base (granules)
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup flour

Directions:
Directions:
Put all ingredients except butter and flour in crock pot. Cover and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours. One hour before serving, turn to high. Make a roux of 1/2 cup melted butter and 1/2 cup flour, stir together until smooth. Pour roux into crock pot cooking on high, stir until thickened.
