1-⅓ cup boiling water
1 cup uncooked oatmeal (quick or old)
1 cup lightly packed brown sugar
1 stick margarine
2 eggs
1-¾ cup unsifted flour
1 cup white sugar
1 tsp. soda
½ tsp. salt
1 Tbls. cocoa
12 oz. package chocolate chips
¾ cup chopped walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Pour boiling water over oatmeal, let stand 10 minutes. Add sugars and margarine. Stir until margarine melts. Add eggs, mix well. Sift together flour, soda, salt, cocoa. Add sugar mixture, mix well.
Add ½ package chips, pour batter into 9X13 greased & floured pan. Sprinkle nuts & remaining chips on top.
Bake at 350º for 40 minutes
