1 lb Italian sausage, browned
¼ tsp garlic
½ TBSP basil
¾ tsp salt
1-15 ounce can tomatoes, diced
1-6 ounce can tomato sauce

5 ounce lasagna noodles, cooked according to package directions.
1 ½ cup ricotta cheese
¼ c parmesan cheese
1 TBSP parsley
½ tsp oregano
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 tsp salt
¼ tsp pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Brown sausage; add garlic, basil, salt, diced tomatoes and tomato sauce to browned sausage. Simmer on stove top while preparing remainder of recipe.

To Assemble:
Combine Ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese, parsley, oregano, egg, salt & pepper in a bowl.
1 lb Mozzarella cheese, shredded.
In a 13”x9”x2” baking dish, put half of lasagna noodles on bottom of pan. Spread half of the cottage cheese mixture over the noodles. Then sprinkle half of the shredded Mozzarella cheese over it. Put half of the meat mixture on next. Repeat layers, ending with the meat mixture on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. If prepared and refrigerated prior to baking, add an additional 15 minutes.
