2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 cup water
2 and 1/2 tablespoons fish sauce
1 garlic clove, minced
1 teaspoon chili garlic sauce (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Combine all ingredients.
Serve with Vietnamese noodle bowls of vermicelli noodles, shredded lettuce, thinly sliced cucumbers, carrots, mint and grilled Vietnamese Pork Skewers (see recipe under Meats.)
