1 box white cake mix
1 teaspoon instant coffee powder
3/4 cup coffee
2 tablespoons Kahlua

Filling:
8 ounces Mascarpone cheese
1/2 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons Kahlua

Frosting:
2 cups heavy cream
1/4 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons Kahlua
1/2 package unflavored gelatin

Cocoa powder (for dusting)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease and flour 3 (9 inch) round pans.
Prepare cake mix according to package directions.
Divide 2/3rd of batter into 2 pans.
Stir instant coffee into remaining 1/3rd of batter and pour into last pan.
Bake in preheated oven 10-12 minutes, cool and turn out onto parchment paper on counter.

Combine brewed coffee and 2 tablespoons kahlua. Set aside.

Filling:
Mix Masparcone, powdered sugar and Kahlua on low speed until just mixed. Refrigerate.

Frosting: (Chill bowl beforehand)
Dissolve gelatin in 1/4 cup water.
Whip cream with powdered sugar and Kahlua until stiff.
Fold in 2-3 tablespoons of dissolved gelatin.

Cake Assembly:
Place one plain cake layer on serving plate.
Spoon one-third coffee mixture over cake.
Spread 1/2 of filling mixture on cake.
Top with coffee-flavored cake layer.
Repeat with 1/3rd coffee mixture and rest of filling mixture.
Top with last cake layer.
Pour remaining 1/3rd of coffee mixture on top of cake layer.
Spread sides and top of cake with frosting.
Lightly dust top of cake with cocoa powder.
Refrigerate.
