1 onion, chopped
Shredded lettuce
Chopped large tomato
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 lb of ground beef
1 can of Ranch Style Beans
Salt and pepper
Italian dressing
Fritos
Avocado

Directions:
Directions:
Mix salad ingredients, except avocado. Brown ground beef, add salt and pepper to taste. Once browned, add Ranch Style Beans and simmer for 10 minutes. While simmering toss salad with Italian dressing. Plate ground beef mixture and top with a generous portion of salad, top with crushed Fritos and sliced avocado.

This is a very easy, quick and inexpensive meal to prepare. I guess it was the fore runner of the taco salad we see today. I often substitute chili for the ground beef and it is just as good. This is a satisfying lite Summer meal.
