Bran Muffins Recipe

2 c. Kellogg’s Bran
1 c. Nabisco Bran
2 c. Raisins
1 c. Boiling water
1 1/2 c. Sugar
1 c. oil
2 eggs
2 c. buttermilk
2 1/2 t. Soda
2 1/3 c. flour

Pour boiling water over bran and raisins. Let stand while mixing rest of ingredients. Blend together sugar, oil, and eggs. Add buttermilk with soda stirred in and flour. Add bran and raisins and mix lightly. Bake in sprayed or oiled muffin tins at 425° for 10 minutes.

helpful notes: Can use 3 cups of any bran. Mixture can be stored for several days covered in the refrigerator prior to baking.
