2 qts. Oil
3 c. Corn meal
2 t. Baking powder
1 1/2 t. Salt
1 1/2 c. Milk
1/2 c. Water
1 Egg, Beaten
1 small Onion, minced
Directions:
Directions:
Heat oil to 365°. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients but egg and onion. Mix in egg and onion. Shape into small balls (~ 1 Tbsp). Slide into oil with a long handled spoon. Cook 8-10 minutes until golden brown. Drain on paper towels. Serve warm.
