Ingredients:
1 cup sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
cup sugar
A little lemon juice
1 whole egg
stick of butter (4Tbs.)
Italian Plums (2-3 lbs)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix butter, sugar and eggs; then add flour which has been sifted with the baking powder. Roll out dough, or press into cake pan. ( I find it easier to press the dough into the pan).

Toss halved plums with sugar and lemon juice. Arrange halved plums skin side down in a circle all around a spring form pan. Bake at 375 for about 45 minutes or until done.

Make a topping of sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle on top of cake while cake is still hot.

Cool cake on wire rack.

Omi got this recipe from her friend Martha Siegmund back in the 1960s. It has been a family favorite since then.
