1 stick margarine
1 sm. onion, diced
1/2 c. celery, diced
1/2 c. flour
2 cans (14 3/4 oz.) chicken broth
2 c. cooked wild rice (I use Uncle Ben's)
1/2 c. grated carrots
1 T. slivered almonds
1 c. cream
Salt and pepper
Dash cayenne pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter in saucepan and saute onion and celery until tender. Stir in flour until smooth. Add broth in gradual amounts, stirring after each addition. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly until slightly thickened and smooth. Stir in cooked rice, carrots and almonds. Simmer 5-10 minutes. Stir in cream and season to taste. Heat through and thin with milk if needed.
