Personal Notes:
I first made this for Nonny when caring for her after she fell and broke both feet! (April 2018) She loved it so much that I made two more loaves when I returned two weeks later. Aunt Dolly says she may or may not have eaten the loaf in the freezer...It is truly delicious. The original recipe from Taste of Home called for 1 cup of sugar. I cut back to 3/4 cup the first time and 1/2 cup thereafter. I think next time I'll try with NO sugar! I butter the top as soon as it comes out of the oven.
