Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 big old b'ar
salt

Directions:
Directions:
Step 1...Catch and Kill the biggest b'ar you can find...
Make sure he doesn't catch you first!
Of course, you could grin him down, but that might make you both late for supper...
Remove his innards and hang him from a tall tree...
Skin him from his toes to his nose...with a Bowie knife...
Saw off a hunk of his backside....just meal-sized.
By this time you should be hungry enough for a goodly chunk...
Stab a pointed stick straight through that chunk of b'ar butt...Salt it good.
Hang it between two crotched sticks over the open fire...right out there in the woods.

Let it cook a timely while.....til it smells done...or your belly can't stand
the wait anymore......
Slide that b'ar-butt right off the stick and chow him down...thankin' the Good Lord that you
got to chew on him before he got to chew on you...

Cattails By the Pond
In the distance are the marshes
In the fields where summer's gone...
all along the water's edges
autumn sings a cooler song
all the berries...long-forgotten
golden leaves against the shore
as they linger on their way, now
by the pond, they lay in store...
windswept there by autumn's breezes
as they dance in harvest- play
autumn's patchwork quilt of colors
bids the autumn-time to stay
but, they skip along the bank there
rustle in the changing trees
and the cattails in the marshes
nod their heads at falling leaves
