1 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon baking soda
4 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup + 2 tablespoons white sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup chilled butter, cut into small cubes
1 egg, room temp
1 cup Crasins©
2-4 ounces white chocolate, coarsely chopped

Glaze:
1 cup powdered sugar
zest and juice of one orange

In a small bowl, blend sour cream and baking soda, set aside. Preheat oven to 350º F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or silicone baking mat. (Alternatively, lightly grease baking sheet.) In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, cream of tartar, and salt. Cut in the butter. Stir in the sour cream mixture until just moistened. Mix in the Craisins© and white chocolate. *DO NOT OVER-MIX -- JUST INCORPORATE INGREDIENTS. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface, and knead briefly. Roll or pat dough into a 3/4 inch thick round. Cut into 12 wedges, and place them 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheet. (Alternatively, after kneading briefly with lightly floured hands, roll dough into 1 1/2 - 2 inch balls and flatten into rounds about 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick, and place them 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheet. Bake approximately 12 to 15 minutes in the preheated oven, until lightly golden brown on the bottom. Let cool on rack, then apply glaze.

Glaze:
Add orange juice (start with 2 tablespoons) and zest to powdered sugar and mix until glaze is desired consistency. Apply glaze to cooled scones.
