Ingredients: 1 lb. ground beef or Italian sausage 2 cloves garlic, minced 1 Tbsp. chopped parsley 1 Tbsp. basil 1 tsp. salt 1 medium onion, chopped (1) 16-oz. can tomatoes (1) 8-oz. can tomato sauce (1) 6-oz. can tomato paste 10 oz. package lasagna noodles (1) 16-oz. carton cottage cheese (1) 12-oz. carton ricotta cheese 2 eggs, beaten 1 tsp. salt ½ tsp. pepper 2 Tbsp. chopped parsley ½ C grated parmesan cheese 1 - 1½ lbs. mozzarella cheese

Directions:Brown meat and onions. Add next 7 ingredients. Simmer uncovered for 30-45 minutes, stirring occasionally. Cook noodles in boiling salted water (add 1 Tbsp. oil) until tender. Combine cottage cheese and ricotta cheese with next 5 ingredients.
Place ½ the noodles in a 13x9x2 baking dish. Spread ½ the cheese mixture over the noodles and add ½ the mozzarella cheese and ½ the meat mixture. Repeat layers. Bake @ 375º for 30-40 minutes. Let stand for 10 minutes before cutting and serving. |
