I know it's not a food recipe but it has been my laundry soap for about 6 years not and I find it does an excellent job. You can find all of these ingredients at Walmart. It lasts a very long time and is a fraction of the cost of commercial brands.

Use a food processor for the Fells Naptha Soap. Cut the soap into small diced sized pieces and mix in batches in your food processor WITH atleast a cup of the washing or baking soda each time so that you don't gum up the blades of the food processor.

Then pour all the ingredients into a white large kitchen trash bag to mix and then once mixed put into two or three large containers and measure cup for each load. No matter how dirty the clothes are!!!

Please note: if you have an "High Effenciency" (HE) washer put the soap powder in before you put in your clothes.
