1 cup (2 sticks) softened butter
¾ cup sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2¼ cups sifted flour
¼ teaspoon baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt
Directions:
Directions:
Beat butter and sugar together until creamy.

Add the egg and vanilla, beat well.

Combine the flour, baking powder and salt, then add to mixture.

Beat all until well mixed.

Bake at 375º.

An excellent dough when wanting to use different shaped cookie cutters, as for Valentine's Day, etc.
