3 Medium onions, chopped
4 Cloves garlic, minced
2 lbs Ground Turkey
1 Tbls Olive oil
1 Cup green pepper, chopped
3 - 8oz cans tomato sauce
1 - 12oz can tomato paste
2 - 15oz cans kidney beans
3 Cups water
1 Cup carrots, chopped (I shread them)
2 Tbls chili powder
3 Bay leaves
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp coriander
1 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp cloves
Directions:
Directions:
In a large pot, saute’ onions and garlic in olive oil, 2 - 3 minutes until onions are golden. Add green pepper, saute’ another minute. Add turkey burger and saute’ 5 minutes or until lightly browned. Add tomato sauce, tomato paste and water and stir till mixed well. Add all remaining ingredients except cheese.

Bring to boil, simmer uncovered, stirring frequently for 2 hours or till thickened.

Remove bay leaves and adjust seasoning to taste.

Serve topped with shredded cheese (I use sharp cheddar)
