1 onion, sliced
1/4 cup flour
3 pounds beef chuck roast
salt and pepper to taste
1 package dry beef gravy mix
1 package ranch dressing mix
1 package Italian style salad dressing mix
1/2 cup water or as needed
carrots and mushrooms if desired

Directions:
Directions:
Sprinkle the chuck roast with salt and black pepper and roll the roast in flour to coat all sides.
Place the roast in pot over the onions.
Whisk the gravy mix, ranch dressing mix and Italian dressing mix with water until smooth.
Pour mix over roast.
Distribute carrots and mushrooms around roast.
Cover and cook on low for about 8 hours until roast is tender.
