Ingredients:  
1 qt. canned salmon or trout
medium onion, chopped fine
1 egg
c. (or more as needed) cracker meal

Directions:
Directions:
Shred salmon or trout removing bones. Mix egg. Combine onion, fish, egg and c. cracker meal to form patties. Press patties in plain cracker meal to coat evenly. Fry in skillet on medium-high heat for 3-4 minutes on each side. Served with tartar or seafood cocktail sauce.

Note:Granny liked to crush saltines and mix with seasoned bread crumbs. Served with French fries.
