Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 3oz package cream cheese, softened
½ cup plus 1 tablespoon butter, softened
1 cup sifted flour
1 egg
¾ cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
dash of salt
⅔ cup chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
In small bowl, combine cream cheese, ½cup butter and flour. Mix thoroughly and chill, covered for 1 hour. Divide dough into 24 walnut-sized balls and press onto sides and bottoms of 24 ungreased miniature muffin or tart pans, using tart utensil. Dipping the tart utensil in flour will help keep the tart dough from sticking. Set aside. In another bowl, combine egg, brown sugar, vanilla, salt and remaining butter. Beat until smooth. Sprinkle ⅓ cup pecans equally among the 24 tarts. Divide egg mixture equally among tarts, pouring on top of the pecans. Sprinkle remaining pecans on top of the egg mixture. Bake at 325º for 20-25 minutes or until pastry is golden brown.
