Spicy Chicken Paprika Recipe

21/2 -3 Pounds cut up chicken
1/2 Cup all purpose flour
1 t Salt
1 t paprika
1/4 t pepper
1/4 C shortning
2 medium onions finely chopped

1 can plain diced tomatoes
1 6 oz can tomato paste
1 T Hungarian Hot Paprika
2 t salt
1/4 t pepper
1 jar sliced mushrooms ( drained)

1/2 Cup sour cream

Separate the chicken pieces pat dry
Mix Flour, salt , paprika and pepper in a large plastic bag
Add the chicken and shake until coated evenly

Melt shortening in a large skillet
Lightly Brown chicken on both sides
Remove chicken and set aside

Add the onions,to the skillet
Add the chicken Cook until fork tender
Remove the chicken and keep warm
Stir in Tomatoes, tomato paste, hot paprika, salt and Pepper
Add chicken cover and simmer 30-40 minuets
Add mushrooms
Stir in Sour cream
Heat until warm and serve over the chicken

May be served with Rice, Pasta, spaetzle or Mashed potatoes,
