1. 1 chicken cut in 8 pieces
2. 2cups butter milk
3. 1 tsp. each of pepper, chili powder, parsley, paprika, thyme, garlic powder, and onion powder
4. 3 large eggs
5. 2 cups all-purpose flour
6. 2tsp. salt
7. 1 large ziplock bag
8. peanut oil or canola oil for frying

1. lightly salt and pepper chicken pieces and place them in a large bowl and pour butter milk over
them and set aside about 1/2 hour
2. in a shallow bowl , whisk eggs and a little water and set aside
3. in a large bowl combine all dry ingredients mix well
4. place 1/2 the mixed dry ingredients in ziplock bag and reserve the rest for later
5. take the chicken 2 pieces at a time in place ziplock bag zip closed and shake well then place chicken on a flat cookie sheet repeat till all chicken is coated
6. next dip each piece of chicken in egg mixture then dip in reserved flour mixture ( make sure you do a good job of coating the chicken ) place back on sheet until all are coated
7. in a large semi-deep skillet , filled about 1/4 to 1/2 full bring to about 325 degrees ( do not over heat oil )
8. place as many pieces in skillet as you can with out overcrowding
9. fry chicken until they are a golden brown on the outside and the juices run clear on the inside
10. remove the chicken and place on draining rack
