2 cups sugar
½ cup crisco
2 eggs
4 cups flour
2 tsp baking soda
½ tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
½ cup cocoa
1 cup sour milk (1 cup milk with 1 TBS vinegar)
¾ cup boiling water

Filling:
5 TBS flour
1 cup milk
1 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 450º

Sandwich Cookie:
Cream sugar, crisco and eggs. Gradually add flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt and cocoa to sugar mixture along with sour milk. Add ¾ cup boiling water last. Drop ½ to 1 tsp onto greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 450º for 5 to 7 minutes.

Filling:
Cook flour and milk over medium heat until thick, then cool. Mix butter, powdered sugar and vanilla and beat until light and fluffy. Combine the two mixtures and mix well. Place filling between two cookies to make a sandwich. Store in cool place.
