Crust:
2 c. flour
1 c. brown sugar (firmly packed)
1/2 c. butter (softened)

Caramel Layer:
2/3 c. butter
1/2 c. brown sugar (firmly packed)
1 c. milk chocolate chips
1 c. whole pecan halves

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. In a 3 quart bowl, combine crust ingredients. Mix at medium speed, scraping sides of bowl often until well mixed and particles are fine. Pat firmly into a 9 x 13 pan. Sprinkle pecans evenly over unbaked crust.

Caramel layer: In a heavy saucepan, combine brown sugar and butter. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until entire surface of mixture begins to boil. Boil 30-60 seconds, stirring constantly.

Pour prepared caramel mixture over pecans. Bake at 350º for 18-22 minutes or until caramel layer is bubbly and crust is light golden brown.

Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle with chocolate chips. Allow chips to melt slightly, lightly swirling chips as they melt, but leave some whole for a marble effect. Cool completely and cut into 3 to 4 dozen bars.
