4 oz. box tea leaves
4 qts. water
5 lbs. sugar

This was my mother, Hazel Bowen's recipe.
Put tea in 4 qts. of water-let come to a boil, but DO NOT boil. let set till the tea settles
Strain the tea over cheese cloth, twice.
Put in 6 qt. sauce pan, add sugar and 2 cups of water- let come to a boil- for 2 minutes.
Take off stove and add tea. Can store in quart jars in refrigerator.
Pour as much syrup in your glass of ice water, to make your tea to your taste.
Makes a little over 4 quarts of syrup. Enjoy!
