3 C. granulated sugar
½ C. water
1 C. white Karo syrup
¼ tsp. salt
2 egg whites
2 cups nuts, pecans or english Walnuts
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Combine Karo, water, salt, sugar in a 3 quart saucepan. Boil to 365º (hard boil stage)
Beat egg whites in a large mixing bowl until it stiffens; slowly pour Karo mixture into egg whites. Add vanilla and nuts.
Beat again and pour into a pan slightly oiled with cooking oil or butter.

It can be dropped by tsp. onto wax paper. I pour it into a pan about 1 inch deep. Cut into squares when cooled.
