1 1/2 Cups quick cooking oatmeal
1 Cup firmly packed light brown sugar
1/2 Cup melted butter
1 tsp ground cinnamon
Mix in a small bowl.


5 Cups thinly sliced tart apples (about 2 pounds)

Directions:
Directions:
Pare and thinly slice 5 tart apples. Place 1/2 the apples in a buttered tart dish, then 1/2 the topping mix; repeat.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bake for 25 minutes or until the apples are tender. Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
This topping can be used with many different kinds of fruit: berries, peaches, plums, etc.

My favorite apple is the Corbin. But feel free to use a couple different apples for a great taste.
