Sauerkraut:
1 large jar
1 large can
1 bag
(Mary Ann liked the taste variety of all three.)

Meat:
1 rack of baby back ribs or 4 rib pork chops
1 pkg. kielbasa or smoked sausage (fully cooked)

1 medium onion, chopped
Butter to sauté onion
Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
1. In a 350º oven, bake ribs/pork chops until done, about 45 minutes.
2. Sauté onion in butter.
3. In a large pot add sauerkraut and onion, salt and pepper to taste. Add water to just cover the sauerkraut and cook for one hour until tender.
4. Add meat including the scrapings from the baking dish. This is an important step. The meat juices give this recipe all the flavor.
5. Bring it to a boil, then cook for another 1/2 hour on medium low.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
All recipes required the highest quality ingredients! This is also made with baby back ribs. Smoked sausage can be substituted for the Kielbasa.
