2 c. sugar
2 c. milk
c. butter
4 eggs
6 level tsp. cornstarch

Directions:
Directions:
Brown 1 cup sugar and 1 cup milk in skillet: mix together butter, egg yolks, 1 cup sugar, cornstarch and 1 cup milk.
Cook until thick and pour into baked pie crust.

Top with meringue, made with 4 egg whites, 8 Tbsp. sugar, tsp. baking powder and tsp. vanilla.
Bake in 350 oven until brown.

This is a very old recipe.
