5 lbs. cabbage
5 onions
1 cup sweet pickles (12 pickles)
1 can pimentos
½ teaspoon chili powder
2½ cups sugar
1 tablespoon celery seed
1 cup ketchup
1 cup vinegar
⅔ cup prepared mustard
2 teaspoons salt

Directions:
Directions:
Grate the cabbage.

Chop the onions, sweet pickles and pimentos.

Combine all ingredients and mix well.

Store in containers.

This relish was served as a special when the Bailey Restaurant in North Towanda, PA was in operation in the 1930's. Mrs. Bailey refused to share this recipe. When cleaning out her son's home in 2004, the original recipe was found and given to me.
