2 Tbsp oil (bacon grease works best)
2 Tbsp all-purpose flour
2 c plain tomato juice
½ c tomato puree
⅛ tsp Worcestershire sauce
dash of Tabasco sauce
⅛ tsp sugar
⅛ tsp dry mustard
⅛ tsp black pepper
salt

Directions:
Directions:
In large skillet set over medium heat, heat grease. Stir in the flour to make a roux and cook, stirring constantly, until the flour is cooked through and begins to brown, about 7 minutes. Gradually whisk in the tomato juice until smooth. Add remaining ingredients and salt to taste. Cook until the gravy thickens, about 20 minutes.
