3 Tablespoons butter
¾ cup brown sugar
3 eggs
1 cup sugar
1½ teaspoon Vanilla
1½ cup all purpose flour
½ teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
½ cup syrup from pineapple
can of pineapple slices
Maraschino cherries Optional
Pecans or walnuts halves Optional
Garnish with Sweetened Whipped cream

Directions:
Directions:
Melt 3 tablespoons butter in iron skillet. Then sprinkle with brown sugar and arrange pineapple slices on top. In center place a Maraschino cherry. Add walnuts or pecan halve if desired. Turn on oven to 350º and put in prepared pan to warm while mixing cake. Cake: Beat eggs until thick and fluffy add in sugar. Add pineapple syrup and vanilla. Add flour, salt, and baking powder. Beat until smooth. Pour over pineapple sugar mixture. Bake at 350º for 50 to 60 minutes or until cake is done. Turn upside down on a platter and serve with sweetened whip cream.
