2 1/4 cup flour
4 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp cream of tartar
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup shortening
2/3 cup milk
1 egg

Directions:
Directions:
Sift dry ingredients. Cut in shortening. Add milk and egg. Mix with fork until dough follows around bowl. Knead 5-16 times. Roll out to 1/2 inch thick and cut. Place on baking sheet and bake 10 minutes at 450 degrees. Double the batch and freeze part to be brought out at a later time to bake. They freeze well.
