4 cups cold rice
4 slices bacon diced or ham, chopped ( I use Spam a lot after Fumi Nishiguchi told me that she uses it and likes the flavor better)
1/2 cup chopped green onions
1/4 tsp salt
3 T sugar
parsley to taste
I like to add frozen carrots and peas that have been cooked as package directs.)

Fry meat and onions. Add other ingredients. I add the soy sauce last and add till I get the color I like. You can also scramble 2-3 eggs and add this to the rice if desired.
