1 pt Yellow Cornmeal
Enough Boiling Water to cover Cornmeal
1/2 c. Yeast?
1/2 c. Molasses
1/2 t. Salt
1/4 t. Baking Soda
1 pt. Ryemeal (Rye Flour)


Directions:
Directions:
Put cornmeal and salt in a bowl. Cover with boiling water and let stand 10 minutes. Add enough cold water to make a soft batter. When lukewarm add remaining ingredients and mix well. Let rise overnight or until cracks form. Stir it down and put in a buttered and floured tin and let rise again. Sprinkle flour over top and bake in a moderate oven for 2 hours.
