All Southerners love sweet potato pie! It is wonderful during the holidays or just anytime you need a great dessert.
1 cup sweet potatoes, mashed (You can use canned or fresh)
1 stick butter or margarine, softened
2 eggs
1/2 cup evaporated milk
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 teaspoon ginger
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 unbaked 9 inch pie shell

Directions:
Directions:
Mash sweet potatoes in a large bowl and mix with butter, eggs, sugars, and milk using a mixer. Add spices, vanilla, flour and continue mixing. Pour into an unbaked pie shell and bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 50 to 55 minutes until knife inserted into the pie comes out clean.

Note: 1 (1lb.) sweet potato equals 1 cup mashed sweet potatoes if you decide to not use canned sweet potatoes
