Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1/2 lb. bacon, cooked and drained on a paper towel
Mrs. Butterworth's or real maple syrup....sometimes Log Cabin Syrup
pancake batter;
coffee... or water... in Hunter's case...

Directions:
Directions:
Prepare bacon. Set aside..
Prepare pancake batter:
1 1/2 cups flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
dash of salt
1-2 Tablespoons sugar
2 Tablespoons oil or melted butter
1 or 2 eggs
milk enough to make of right batter consistency...
Combine ingredients until mixed. Batter will and should be lumpy...

Bake pancakes on hot griddle, (we use our big electric one) turning, once... when bubbles form all over the top of each one....,
Serve hot with a pat of butter and syrup overtop. Add bacon to plate.

I'd mix up the pancake batter ....they'd eat...and away they'd go to a day on the hill or a day of Hunter playing deer drive on the computer...I would count the deer for him when he was still too little to know how. He was soon going from level to level...
A tuna sandwich and drink for lunch and they were off on their adventures!
