Topping:
1 1/2 cups butter
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
1 1/2 cups honey
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
4 cups pecans

Make the topping first and allow it to cool while preparing and baking the crust. To make the topping, mix butter, sugar and honey in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil and cook until it has boiled 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Cool slightly and add cream and pecans.

Crust
1 cup butter
1 cup sugar
3 eggs
grated rind of lemon
4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking powder

Directions:
Directions:
To make crust; Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease a cookie sheet. or 9 x 13 inch cake pan. In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and lemon rind, beat until smooth. Add flour and baking powder and mix well. Press the dough into the bottom of the pan, pricking evenly with a fork. Bake 12 to 15 minutes or until the dough looks half done. (overbaking at this point will cause the crust to be too hard by the time the second baking is complete.) Reduce heat to 350 degrees. Spread topping evenly over the partially baked crust and bake for an additional 30 to 35 minutes or until topping is set. Cut into bars.
