4 cups apple slices (Braeburn work well. This usually comes to 3-4 apples.)
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup butter
3/4 cup plain flour

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400º. Grease an 8 X 8 pan.

Place apples in prepared dish. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Pour water over all.

In bowl, cream together sugar and butter. Blend in flour. Sprinkle mixture evenly over the apples.

Bake until apples are tender and crust is golden. (Usually about 30 minutes.)
