6 cups thinly sliced onions (about 6 medium)
1 cube real butter
6 cans Campbells Beef Consommé (10 ˝ oz.)
1 cup red wine (or red cooking wine – don’t worry, the heat cooks out the
alcohol)
3 slices toasted French Bread
Parmesan cheese

Directions:
Directions:
In large frying pan cook onions in butter over low heat until clear, about 30
Minutes, stirring occasionally
Transfer to large saucepan, add consommé and wine/cooking wine, heat to
boiling
Reduce heat, cover and simmer on low heat for about 30 minutes

Serving Instructions:

Preheat broiler
Place ˝ slice of toasted bread in oven-safe bowl
Add soup
Cover surface with a generous slice of parmesan cheese
Place under broiler until melted
