Ingredients:  
3 lbs. apples
1 cup water
⅓ cup of packed golden brown sugar
2 ½ T. fresh lemon juice
½ tsp. ground cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Combine apples (peeled and cored into
pieces), 1 cup water and brown sugar in
a saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring
occasionally. Reduce heat, cover and
simmer for 25 minutes.
Uncover and simmer until liquid has
evaporated - about 6 minutes.
Remove from heat.
Stir in lemon juice and cinnamon.

Cool for 30 minutes.
Using a fork, mash mixture until
coarse and chunky. Serve at room
temp or refrigerate until cold.
