1/4 c. Butter or Lard
2 Eggs
1 c. Milk

Directions:
Bring a pot of soup or broth to a simmer (not a boil) on the stove

Mix dry ingredients and add butter or lard, mix until small pea-sized lumps form. Pour in milk and mix to form a soft dough.

Drop 1/4 c. amounts of dough into soup and cover with lid. Cook about 10 minutes. Don't remove the lid before that or you will let the steam escape and dumplings will not rise properly.
