Scones Recipe

1 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
6 Tbsp butter
1/3 cup sugar
1 apple-chopped
1/3 cup milk

2 cups flour
1 Tbsp baking powder
8 Tbsp butter
1/2 cup sugar
Zest of 1 lemon
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup small blueberries, fresh or frozen
3/4 cup buttermilk, plus 2 Tbsp

Glaze for blueberry scones:
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 Tbsp fresh lemon juice

Preheat oven to 400.

Combine dry ingredients. Cut in butter.
Add apple or blueberries. Stir in the milk or buttermilk.

Make a ball of dough. Press into a round shape about 1" thick. Cut into 8 pieces and separate pieces. Place on cookie sheet. Brush with a little milk. Bake 20-25 minutes.

For blueberry scones, drizzle glaze over.
